The UCI WorldTour brings together the world’s greatest road races. It lets us discover the biggest stage races – notably the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia or the Vuelta a España – as well as the most prestigious one-day classics.
A reflection of the development of cycling at an international level, numerous more recent races, in Oceania, America and Asia, are also part of the UCI WorldTour.
This week, the Tour Down Under kicks off the season. The UCI WorldTour 2012 will gain momentum from Tuesday to Sunday in an authentic Australian festive atmosphere.
Winner of the UCI WorldTour for the first time, the Belgian Philippe Gilbert has been showered with praise. He showed his competitors who was boss while animating the season with flair.
